O que me move
Para comunicar a paisagem como uma experiência sempre renovada do indivíduo, exploro deslocamentos conceituais no espaço e no tempo. Começo investigando possíveis significados dos vazios e do avesso das imagens. A partir daí, elaboro narrativas visuais onde componho relações fictícias entre alguns elementos reconhecíveis e formas imprevistas. Penso que a sugestão de ausências tem potencial para resignificar a realidade, ao desconstruir nossos automatismos visuais. Questionar o visível através do inusitado pode instigar imagens sempre-vivas, ou seja, passíveis de infinitas releituras.

What moves me
To communicate the landscape as a constantly renewed experience of the individual, I explore conceptual shifts in space and time. I start investigating possible meanings of emptiness and wrong side of images. From there, I elaborate visual narratives. I compose fictional relationships between some recognizable elements and unforeseen forms. I think the suggestion of absences has the potential to reframe reality by deconstructing our visual habits. Questioning the visible through the unusual can instigate everlasting images, i.e., capable of endless retellings.
Simbologia particular
A sempre-viva é uma flor que não muda sua aparência depois de seca, o que lhe dá uma aura de imortalidade. Como pesquisadora botânica, conheço a natureza interna forte e complexa de algumas espécies brasileiras dessa flor, em contraste com sua simplicidade e delicadeza. Como artista, ela me possibilita expressar de forma única a coexistência de conceitos opostos, como peso e leveza, forma e contra-forma, cheio e vazio, visível e invisível, nitidez e indefinição, interno e externo, vida e morte. Procuro explorar diferentes materiais e meios de representação da sempre-viva para ampliar sua dimensão conceitual.

Personal symbology
The everlasting flower is a flower that does not change its appearance when dry, what gives it an aura of immortality. As a botanical researcher, I know the strong and complex internal nature of some Brazilian species of this flower, in contrast to its simplicity and delicacy. As an artist, it allows me to express in a unique way the coexistence of opposing concepts such as heaviness and lightness, shape and counter-shape, full and empty, visible and invisible, sharpness and blurring, internal and external, life and death. I try to explore different materials and means of representation of everlasting flowers to expand its conceptual dimension.
Universo poético
Vejo minha produção como um tecido sem limites definidos, que vai tomando corpo à medida que sobreponho camadas de imagens e memórias. Nesse processo infinito, a linha se fragmenta, se multiplica, se expande, se dissolve e sugere passagens. A alusão à tecelagem, técnica que resgata simbologias ancestrais, surge como decorrência natural do meu fazer artístico. Por isso sigo me apropriando e desconstruindo a linha de tapetes, mapas, e textos, para traçar meu próprio território imagético. Me fascina a possibilidade de transformar relações espaciais e instaurar novos significados.

Poetic universe
I see my production as a fabric without defined limits, which gains form when I overlay images and memories on it. In this endless process, the line breaks up, multiplies, expands, dissolves and suggests passages. The reference to the weaving technique that recovers ancient symbolisms, comes as a natural consequence of my artistic practice. So I go on taking and deconstructing the line of carpets, maps and texts, to draw my own imagery territory. It fascinates me the possibility to transform spatial relationships and to establish new meanings.
